EU Dependant Visa

Documents Required

Visa Application Form

• A duly completed and signed VisaOnWeb application form with a barcode.

Passport

• Valid for at least three months beyond the visa expiry date.
• Issued within the last 10 years.
• Must contain two blank pages for visa stamps.

Passport Copy

• Photocopy of the passport bio-page showing personal details and photo.

Photographs

• Two UK passport-sized photos (3.5cm x 4.5cm).
• Colour photos with a plain white background.
• Must be less than three months old.

UK Residency

• Provide a UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.

Proof of EU Family Member’s Nationality

• Original and a copy of the EU family member’s passport or national ID card.

Proof of Relationship to the EU Citizen

• Original and a copy of a marriage certificate, birth certificate, or any official document issued within the last six months.
• If issued outside the EU, the certificate must be legalised or apostilled by the issuing country’s authorities.
• If not in English, French, Dutch, or German, a certified translation must be provided.

Proof of Travel with the EU Citizen

• Travel tickets and/or accommodation bookings in both names to confirm that the applicant is accompanying or joining the EU family member in Belgium.

For Minors (Under 18 Years Old)

• Birth certificate.
• If travelling alone or with only one parent, additional documents required:
  • Consent letter signed by both parents or the legal guardian.
  • Certified copies of both parents’ passports.
  • British school certificate.
• If sole custody applies:
  • Birth certificate mentioning one parent.
  • Death certificate of the absent parent, if applicable.
  • Court ruling confirming sole custody.

Additional Supporting Documents (if applicable)

• Proof of financial stability (e.g. income, assets, or property ownership).
• Evidence of family bonds to establish strong ties to the EU citizen.

Important Notes

• All documents must be in English, French, Dutch, or German. Foreign official documents must be legalised or carry an apostille unless exempted by treaty.
• Submission of all required documents does not guarantee visa approval.
• Additional documents may be requested by the Belgian authorities if necessary.
